APC primaries: Tension in Lagos over Ambode’s fate
Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode yesterday charged consulting engineers to recommend ways-out of the nation’s infrastructural challenges.
Speaking in Lagos at the opening of the Annual General Meeting of the Association for Consulting Engineering in Nigeria, he said such recommendations should be capable of making profound turnaround difference.
Ambode, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Ministry of Works and Infrastructures, Jimi Hotonu said: “We look forward to your professional advice in areas such as flooding, traffic control, waste management, construction, maintenance, and rehabilitation of roads, among others.”
The governor said Nigeria could not continue to rely on foreigners to develop.
