Source reveals more, on cause of collapsed building in Port Harcourt.
"AN UPDATE OF THE BULIDING COLLAPSE IN WOJI GRA II PH:
Ok since my street is behind the street where the building is and my home is less the a hundered steps from the building and when it happend the chair i sat on and the whole house had a tremour i think i can give u a slight peak into what caused it,firstly my street is called "ohiamini' in ikwere which means "a bush or forest filled with water" or "ohiamiri" in central igbo( imo/abia) now in english u can call it a mangroove forest. Now to build a house in such a place u need to do wat we call "sand filling" if u dont ur building on water, anybody building a house in PH "must do this"if u dont want ur home to sink!now the collapsed build is a 7 storey building,to build anything higher than 3 stories the foundation must be dug deep and filled with not just concrete but iron beams will be used as well......now the word on the street is dat WHAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FILLED WASN'T!!!! so the building didnt just collapse IT SUNK IN!!! Some came out alive! ,one died in the hospital, while some trapped in are still calling pple through phone begging for help!!!!"
