The personal assistant to president Buhari on news media and coordination, Bashir Ahmed, has stated reasons why President Buhari needs not to attend the presidential debate.
He wrote that:
"... President M. Buhari, he doesn't have to debate, his achievements for 3.5 years, will do the talk for him.
In South West; Lagos-ibadan Rail, Lagos-Abeokuta road, in South south and south east Maritime university and 2nd Niger bridge.
In North east; security, in North west, Abuja-kaduna-kano expressways .
In North Central; Baro port and many more ".
